WARNING: Horses showing signs of coughing MUST NOT be broughht to the show. The Horse Committee and/or Steward in authority reserve the right to have any horse duly removed.

PENS: No Pens provided. Competitors may provide their own.

HARD HATS TO BE WORN IN ALL COMPETITIONS, INCLUDING FANCY DRESS.

In the event of any class having a large number of entries, it will be at the Judge's discretion to split the class.


Shetland Ponies (In Hand)

Those entering ponies in this class will not be able to compete in the Working Hunter class 17 and 18 but may enter 19. (Pure Bred Highland, Thoroughbred and Arab Crosses not eligible)


Pure Bred Highland Ponies

Small Mountain and Moorland Ponies (In Hand)

Riding Ponies( under saddle)

  4. Riding Pony over 138cm and not exceeding 148cm to be ridden by Child 16 years or under

Championship for Best Riding Pony open to first and second prize winners in classes 9,10,11,12. Silver Cup presented by Mrs Joy and Mr Kenny MacGillivray: The Kenneth Archibald MacGillivray Perpetual Cup.


Riding Horses (Under Saddle)

Working Hunters

Classes

  1. Working Hunter over 143cm and not exceeding 153cm
  2. Working Hunter over 153cm

Working Hunter Championship. Perpetual Silver Trophy presented by Rosemary Dalgleish, Barbreck; Open to FIRST and SECOND prizewinners in Classes 17 and 18.
No brushing boots or bandages, and whips not to exceed 75cm. Working Hunters will be required to jump natural obstacles, maximum height three feet.
Judging is based in 60% jumping, 10% conformation, 10% ride and 20% showing. Competitors may be eliminated for jumping faults.

Bruce Lindsay Bros. Championship Trophy for Best Horse or Pony in Show
Championship confined to Mid-Argyll, for bestHorse or Pony in the Show Open to Champion Mountain and Moorland Pony, Champion Highland Pony, Champion Best Riding Pony, Champion Riding Horse, Champion Working Hunter, Champion Light-Legged Pony. (approximately 1.45 p.m.)

Gymkhana

Games: Entries £2 at the Ring.

If time and weather permit, Clear Round Jumping and Gamblers Stakes will take place.

  2. 13 years and up to 16 years: Fascadale Shield awarded to rider scoring most points.
  3. 12 years and under   McQuiston Trophy awarded to rider scoring most points.
