The Mid-Argyll Agricultural Show is a major event held annually on the second Saturday in August. Hundreds of exhibitors enter competitions in Baking, Produce, Crafts, Flowers and Vegetables as well as the Dog and Livestock classes.
Alastair Dixon will be president for the 125th Mid-Argyll Agricultural Show on Saturday the 10th August 2024 at Kilmory, Lochgilphead, Alastair will be supported by Vice President Rosslyn Smith.
A large crowd of spectators enjoy an excellent Show watching the judging of Cattle, Sheep, Dogs, Horses, Ponies and Poultry competitions. Other regular attractions are the display of vintage tractors and the delightful Pets section continue together with the Terrier Racing competitions.
The many Trade Stands give an opportunity to browse and buy everything from crafts, clothing, toys and produce to agricultural machinery and equipment. Childrens competitions plus many roundabouts and bouncy castles, trampolines , climbing wall etc. ensure that families enjoy a great day out.
The system of using the School car park & free shuttle buses taking people from Lochgilphead Front Street up to the show ground, via the school car park will operate again as it has previously proved popular & effective.
No Class Entry Fees will be payable this year. A Field entry fee per person is payable as follows:-
Adults: £8.00 Concession & Children (5-15): £4.00 Under 5s: FREE Family Ticket (2 Adults & 2 Children): £20
All tickets only available on the gate on the Show Day
Membership of the show is open to all and members may compete in any class.
