The Mid-Argyll Agricultural Show is a major event held annually on the second Saturday in August. Hundreds of exhibitors enter competitions in Baking, Produce, Crafts, Flowers and Vegetables as well as the Dog and Livestock classes. The spectators enjoy watching the judging of Cattle Sheep, Dogs Horses and Ponies. They are entertained by music of the Pipe Band and displays of Sheep Shearing and Wood Carving.

A six a side Shinty Tournament is also an attraction for the crowd, as is the Tug-o-War and other team events such as plank racing and children's Quad Bike Pulling . The many trade Stands give an opportunity to browse and buy everything from crafts, clothing, toys and produce to agricultural machinery and equipment. Childrens competions plus roundabouts and bouncy castles ensure that the whole family enjoy a great day out.
